The classic family board game of deduction moves to Westeros. Ditching Colonel Mustard for Daenerys Targaryen, the game still maintains the ‘suspect/weapon/location’ gameplay of the original, but the new edition boasts a two sided board (featuring The Red Keep and Meereen locations)
The game is based on the hit HBO TV series Game of Thrones rather than the novels, and looks to feature some updated mechanics, although full details will have to wait until this USApoly release hits shelves.
Clue: Game of Thrones is available for pre-order from $33.99
Ready your sonic screwdrivers and prepare for timey-wimey stuff. Gale Force Nine, publishers of such licensed games as Spartacus, Firefly, and Homeland have taken on another beloved TV series.
Details are light on the game’s mechanics, but the game promises the ability to “travel through time and space, meet companions and have adventures”. Players can also choose which of the Doctor’s various incarnations they can play as.
Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks is available for pre-order from $47.99
In space, no one can hear you hide. Or so you hope. This horror game sports both hidden movement and hidden allegiances. You can hear your fellow players stumbling in the pitch-black spaceship, but are they a fellow crewmember trying to make it to the escape hatches? Or a flesh-eating alien?
The Ultimate Edition compiles all of the material released in the various editions and website-only content since the game’s original release in 2010. It also includes previously limited edition content, new unique player powers, and upgraded component quality across the (card)board, so if the notion of a high intensity science fiction game with a lovely retro horror aesthetic appeals to you, now is a great time to jump on board. And be eaten.
